Abstract of the Statutes of the Macedonian Association of Structural Engineers

Article 11

Member of MASE could be any full age citizen of the Republic of Macedonia - structural engineer, civil engineer and technician, or engineer and technician of related technical professions who by his job or sphere of action professionally deals in the field of structural engineering.

Member of MASE could also be a structural engineer - foreign citizen upon a preceding recommendation by two registered members of MASE from the Republic of Macedonia.

Members of MASE could also be the students of technical faculties in which the component of structural engineering is studied, upon a preceding recommendation by their two professors or assistants - registered member of MASE.

Article 12

One could become member of MASE by submitting to the Executive Committee an Application Form and Declaration which should obligatory be returned in the case of Membership termination or expulsion.

In the Application Form short C.V's data should be stated, as well as data of professional and scientific degree, and of professional work in the field of structural engineering.

By the Declaration, the willingness to respect the Statutes of MASE should be confirmed, and especially the willingness to guard and protect both the professional reputation and dignity of the Association and structural and civil engineering profession in whole.

The decision for admission in MASE Membership shall be taken by the Executive Committee.

Article 13

Any member of Macedonian Association of Structural Engineers has the rights and duties:

  • to respect and accomplish consequently the Statutes of MASE and other official documents and decisions taken by MASE General Assembly, as well as Executive Committee of MASE and other MASE organs;
  • to elect and to be elected in MASE organs;
  • to submit proposals and to start initiatives in the field of MASE activities and to take part in their accomplishment;
  • to be informed about all of MASE activities;
  • to be informed about and to use technical and scientific information which are at MASE disposal;
  • to keep, protect and rise both the professional reputation and dignity of other MASE members and MASE in whole.

Article 14

The membership in Macedonian Association of Structural Engineers shall terminate:

  • by submitting a Declaration by the member that he willingly withdraws from MASE;
  • by expulsion from MASE.

The decision for termination the MASE membership by expulsion shall be taken by MASE Court of Honour.

The complaint against the Court decision shall be submitted in writing to the General Assembly of MASE which shall be the final authority.

Article 15

Member of Macedonian Association of Structural Engineers shall not be a person who:

  • shall deal against the rules of MASE Statutes and other MASE official documents;
  • by his professional work and behaviour shall abuse the reputation and dignity of structural engineering profession or the reputation and dignity of MASE in whole;
  • by reason of his personal goals or materializing profit, shall abuse without arguments professional reputation and dignity of other member of MASE;
  • shall hide faults and harmful consequences caused by his professional work and behaviour, or give wrong or uncompleted information for this work.
